How LifeSync handles your data

Information LifeSync collects

• Account information, such as your email address, display name, and authentication provider details when you sign in.
• Health and fitness information you choose to enter or import, including workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weight, timers, notes, goals, nutrition entries, body weight, body fat, lean mass, and progress history.
• Food barcode numbers, food descriptions, meal photos, and nutrition estimates you choose to enter or look up in the Nutrition page.
• App settings and preferences, such as dark mode, notification choices, favorite exercises, biometric unlock preference, and onboarding selections.
• Microphone access is requested only when you choose to use voice notes. Spoken words may be processed by the device or platform speech-recognition service to convert speech into text for your exercise note.
• Feedback or support messages you submit through the Contact LifeSync page, including any name, reply email, topic, and message you provide.
• Technical information needed to operate the app, such as Firebase authentication identifiers, cloud sync timestamps, device/app platform signals, and diagnostic information generated by Firebase or Google Play services.
• Account activity information, including account creation time, recent app access sessions, and whether cloud-synced workout or nutrition logs were recorded. App access sessions use a 30-minute activity window and are not used for advertising.

How LifeSync uses information

• To provide core app features, including workout planning, nutrition tracking, body composition logs, goals, history, exercise library features, and progress insights.
• To sync your app data across sessions or devices when you sign in and choose to use cloud sync.
• To personalize your experience, preserve preferences, calculate estimates, and show relevant workout or progress information.
• To import Android Health Connect body metrics, such as weight, body fat, and lean mass, only when you grant Health Connect access.
• To look up packaged food nutrition, estimate nutrition from food descriptions or meal photos, and save nutrition entries you choose to keep.
• To convert speech into text when you tap the voice note microphone button, so the recognized text can be added to your workout note.
• To respond to feedback, support requests, bug reports, and data or sync questions.
• To maintain app security, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
• To understand adoption and feature usage through owner-only account activity summaries, such as active users and workout or nutrition logging frequency.

Cloud sync and storage

• LifeSync uses Firebase services to authenticate users, store cloud-synced app data, process support feedback, and host server-side app features.
• When you are signed in, LifeSync may save your app state to Firestore so your data can be restored in future sessions.
• Exercise catalog data and related images may be loaded from Firebase-backed shared libraries. WorkoutX intelligence requests are handled server-side so protected API keys are not exposed in the app.
• You can also keep data locally on your device and export local backups for your own records.

Third-party services

• LifeSync uses Google Firebase and Google Play services for authentication, cloud storage, server functions, app distribution, and related diagnostics.
• On Android, LifeSync may use Health Connect to read body metrics you permit, including weight, body fat, and lean mass.
• LifeSync may use WorkoutX exercise data and server-side insight features to provide exercise details, alternatives, similar movements, and calorie estimates.
• LifeSync may use public food data services, such as Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central, to look up packaged food nutrition by barcode or food description.
• LifeSync may use server-side AI vision services to estimate nutrition from meal photos you choose to submit.
• These services process information according to their own privacy practices in addition to this policy.

Health and fitness estimates

• LifeSync may calculate calories, BMR, TDEE, training summaries, and progress insights from information you enter.
• Nutrition estimates from food descriptions or meal photos are approximate and should be reviewed against package labels, restaurant nutrition facts, or other trusted sources before relying on them.
• These outputs are estimates for personal tracking and general fitness planning. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
• Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical, nutrition, or exercise decisions, especially if you have a medical condition or injury.

Microphone and voice notes

• LifeSync requests microphone permission only when you choose to use the voice note feature.
• Voice note audio is used to create text for your exercise note. LifeSync does not use microphone access for advertising or background recording.
• The recognized text becomes part of your workout note and may be stored locally or synced with your account if you use cloud sync.
• You can deny or revoke microphone permission and continue typing notes manually.

Data sharing

• LifeSync does not sell your personal information.
• LifeSync shares information with service providers only as needed to operate the app, such as Firebase, Google Play services, and server-side exercise intelligence providers.
• LifeSync may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate misuse of the app.

Your choices

• You can choose what fitness, nutrition, profile, and body-composition data you enter into LifeSync.
• You can deny or revoke Health Connect access in Android or Health Connect settings and continue entering body metrics manually.
• You can sign out to stop account-based cloud access on the device.
• You can deny microphone permission and use typed notes instead of voice notes.
• You can use local backup/export tools to keep your own copy of app data.
• You can request help with account or data questions through the Contact LifeSync page.

Website support and administration

The public website provides product information and support resources. Authorized LifeSync administration uses account identifiers, subscription status, purchase-period information, and available billing events to investigate account issues and manage access. Private support notes and a record of administrative changes help document support decisions. These tools are restricted to the verified owner account; payment card details are not collected by the portal.

Private support notes are stored within the account's user-data scope and are removed by the app's account-deletion process. Administrative and billing records may be retained where needed for support, fraud prevention, or financial recordkeeping. Contact LifeSync with questions about those records.

Connected health

On supported devices, optional Connected Health features can read the categories you permit from Apple Health or Android Health Connect, including available activity, workouts, sleep, heart rate, and supported body measurements. Optional sharing of supported LifeSync records back to a health provider is controlled by your app settings and device permissions. You can revoke permissions through your device. These features do not make health readings publicly visible on this website.

Security

• LifeSync uses Firebase Authentication and Firebase security controls to protect account-based app data.
• Optional biometric unlock can add a local app-access gate on supported signed-in mobile devices. It does not replace Firebase authentication.
• No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so LifeSync cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

• LifeSync is not directed to children under 13.
• Users under the age of majority should use the app only with parent or guardian involvement.

Changes to this policy

• LifeSync may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes.
• When the policy changes, the effective date will be updated. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
